This Privacy Policy has been prepared to explain the principles regarding data processing within the scope of services provided through the website and digital platforms operated under the name Easyspell by Kant LLC ("Company").

1. Data Controller

In accordance with Law No. 6698 on the Protection of Personal Data ("KVKK"), and to the extent applicable law requires, data related to the use of Easyspell is processed by:

Easyspell is operated by Kant LLC.

For users located in Turkey, actions are taken in compliance with applicable obligations under KVKK where relevant.

2. Data We Process

Easyspell is designed to collect only the information needed to provide spelling practice, synchronize progress, process purchases, and keep the service reliable. No account is required to begin using the app.

Depending on the features a parent enables, we may process:

• A child profile entered by a parent, such as a first name or nickname, grade level, interests, and selected theme. This profile is linked to a pseudonymous app identifier and is used for personalization and progress synchronization.
• Spelling-list words, generated learning content, answers, scores, mastery state, and practice history.
• A spelling-list photo selected by the parent for OCR. The raw image is transmitted securely for the requested recognition operation and deleted from our temporary upload storage after processing. The extracted words may be retained as the spelling list.
• A short voice recording when microphone-based pronunciation practice is used. The raw audio is transmitted securely for the requested assessment and deleted from our temporary upload storage after processing. The resulting score, recognized text, and feedback may be retained with practice progress.
• Purchase and subscription status supplied by Apple, Google Play, and our subscription service provider.
• App interactions, technical performance, crash and diagnostic data, app version, device type, operating system, locale, approximate location inferred from the network address, and a pseudonymous installation, advertising, or service identifier. The exact fields depend on the app version in use.
• Cookie or similar technology data used for website functionality and analytics.

We do not use spelling-list photos, voice recordings, child names, spelling words, or answer text for advertising. Analytics events are designed not to include those content fields. We do not sell personal data.

3. Purposes of Data Processing

The data described above may be processed for the following purposes:

• Providing, maintaining, and improving Easyspell,
• Creating personalized spelling lists and learning content,
• Providing OCR and pronunciation-assessment features requested by the user,
• Saving and synchronizing spelling progress,
• Processing and restoring subscriptions,
• Monitoring app performance and fixing technical issues,
• Ensuring information and system security,
• Analyzing general product usage trends in an aggregated or anonymized manner,
• Fulfilling legal obligations where applicable.

Easyspell does not use ordinary usage data to directly identify users.

4. Method of Collection and Legal Basis

Data may be collected automatically or partially automatically through:

• The Easyspell website,
• The mobile application,
• Cookies or similar technologies,
• Technical and analytics tools,
• Electronic communication channels where applicable.

Where the collected data qualifies as personal data under applicable law, it may be processed based on the following legal grounds:

• Fulfillment of legal obligations,
• Legitimate interest,
• Explicit consent where required by law.

To the extent data has been fully anonymized and can no longer be associated with an identifiable person, such data falls outside the scope of personal data protection legislation.

5. Transfer of Data

Data may be shared, where necessary and in accordance with applicable law, with:

• Cloud hosting, database, and temporary file-storage providers,
• OCR, content-generation, and speech-assessment providers,
• Analytics and attribution providers. App versions distributed before our aggregate-measurement update may use Mixpanel and AppsFlyer for product analytics and advertising measurement.
• Subscription and store providers, including RevenueCat, Apple, and Google,
• Authorized public institutions and organizations where legally required.

Our Company does not sell personal data to third parties.

Any data shared with service providers is limited to what is necessary for technical, operational, legal, security, and advertising measurement purposes. We do not use child profile data, spelling content, answers, photos, or voice recordings for behavioral advertising.

Our privacy-minimized mobile releases remove third-party analytics and attribution SDKs and disable automatic device-identifier collection in the subscription SDK. Product measurement is then sent only to our own service as anonymous daily aggregate counters containing an event name, platform, app version, and a small set of bounded values. Those events do not include child or parent identifiers, installation or advertising identifiers, names, spelling words, answers, photos, voice recordings, or free-form text.

6. Information Security

Our Company takes appropriate technical and administrative measures to:

• Prevent unauthorized access,
• Prevent data loss,
• Ensure system and application security,
• Protect stored technical and usage data.

We aim to apply data minimization principles and reduce the collection of identifiable data wherever possible.

7. Retention, Deletion, and Children's Privacy

Raw OCR photos and pronunciation recordings are temporary inputs. They are deleted from our upload storage after the requested processing completes, including when processing fails. AI-processing services may hold the content in memory or temporary working files only as needed to return the requested result.

Child profile fields, extracted spelling words, generated content, and practice results may be retained so the app can restore lists and show progress. Technical, purchase, and analytics records are retained only for as long as reasonably needed for service operation, security, support, legal compliance, and subscription administration.

A parent or guardian can permanently delete the current child profile, spelling lists, answers, and practice history from our servers and the device by opening the parent-gated Settings area in the app and choosing Delete profile and practice data. The action is immediate and cannot be undone. Purchase and subscription records are managed separately by Apple, Google, and RevenueCat so purchases can be administered or restored and legal obligations can be met.

Parents may also request access, correction, or deletion by emailing oguzhan@kantakademi.com and including the Support Code shown in the app. We use that pseudonymous reference only to locate the requested record.

Easyspell is intended for children to use with a parent or guardian. We limit child-related information to app functionality, do not sell it, and do not use it for behavioral advertising. Parents may contact us at any time about a child's information.

8. Log Records and Technical Data

Easyspell may process anonymous or non-directly identifying log and diagnostic records for the purposes of:

• Detecting and resolving system problems,
• Monitoring application stability and performance,
• Ensuring security,
• Complying with legal obligations where applicable.

Such records are retained only for as long as necessary for these purposes and in accordance with applicable legal requirements.

9. Cookies

Our website may use cookies or similar technologies to improve functionality and user experience.

These technologies may be used for:

• Session management,
• Website analytics,
• Remembering preferences,
• Improving website performance.

Users may control, disable, or delete cookies through their browser settings.

10. Third-Party Links

The Easyspell website or digital services may contain links to third-party websites or services. Our Company is not responsible for the privacy practices, policies, or content of such third-party services.

11. Rights of Data Subjects

If any processed data qualifies as personal data under applicable law, data subjects may have the right, in accordance with KVKK Article 11 and other applicable legislation, to:

• Learn whether their personal data is being processed,
• Request information if it has been processed,
• Learn the purpose of processing and whether it is used accordingly,
• Request correction of incomplete or inaccurate data,
• Request deletion, destruction, or anonymization where conditions are met,
• Request compensation for damages arising from unlawful processing.
